A date we were not going to miss. On 11 and 12 July 2026, the Urban Slide Festival takes over Transpolis, and Torque Drift School is there with a pro stand. Two days of motorsport spectacle on a site we know well, since it is one of our circuits.
What is the Urban Slide Festival?
The Urban Slide Festival is a drift event unlike anything seen in France, organised by Slide Drift Series over two days. Its defining feature: a genuine pro street layout, presented by the organiser as the first of its kind ever built in France, traced through a town built specifically for automotive testing and this time given over entirely to sliding.
The festival brings together exceptional drivers, runs and battles by day and by night, guests, and a cash prize at a level never seen in France for this type of event, according to Slide Drift Series. Around the track, a true festival atmosphere: activities, open paddock, VIP rooftop and several surprises.
Where and when does the event take place?
The Urban Slide Festival takes place on 11 and 12 July 2026 at the Transpolis circuit, in the Ain, less than an hour from Lyon. Transpolis is an automotive testing centre normally closed to the public, which makes access to this layout all the rarer.
Whether you come from Lyon, Bourg-en-Bresse, Mâcon, Villefranche-sur-Saône, Ambérieu-en-Bugey, Meximieux, Bourgoin-Jallieu or from further afield, the site is easy to reach for a weekend of spectacle.
