2026 French Drift Championship: A Season You Won't Want to Miss

Jason BANET Championnat de France de Drift

The official calendar for the French Drift Championship is out and there's plenty to get excited about!

At Torque Drift School, we train you to master the art of drifting. But beyond the practice track, there's something every sideways enthusiast should experience at least once: watching the FFSA French Drift Championship live. And the 2026 season is shaping up to be nothing short of explosive.

Why watch the CFD live?

Watching drift on YouTube is great. But smelling the tyres burn, hearing the engine scream just metres away from you, and seeing a Tōge taken right on the limit of grip… that's a whole different dimension. For our students and for the curious who want to discover the sport, heading to a CFD round is a real source of inspiration and sometimes the spark that makes you want to get behind the wheel yourself.

The 2026 CFD calendar - 7 rounds across France

The 2026 season features seven events spread across the country, including two rounds in Tōge format (on specially secured roads) and even a mystery circuit to close out the season. More than enough to keep fans on the edge of their seats right to the end.

Here are the dates to lock into your diary:

The rounds you really can't miss

Val de Vienne - The big return (11 - 12 April)

A historic CFD venue, Val de Vienne is back after a year away. Its long, fast sweepers, demanding rhythm and wide paddock areas make it a perfect round for newcomers and connoisseurs alike. An excellent opener to kick off the season.

Croix-en-Ternois - Speed & Kiss The Wall (6 - 7 June)

Here, drivers initiate at over 120 km/h. The Kiss The Wall zone is genuinely impressive, the battles are often unpredictable, and the weather can turn everything on its head at the last second. If you want to understand what it really means to push a car to the limit, this is the round to see.

Luby-Osmets - The Pyrenees Tōge (27 - 28 June)

A one-of-a-kind round: a true Tōge layout on an open road secured for the event, with elevation changes, tight corners and the Pyrenees as a backdrop. Drift in its purest, most committed form.

Calmont - The legendary hillclimb (29 - 30 August)

Calmont is the benchmark of French drift. Set between cliff and ravine, the Côte de Gary delivers a spectacle like no other, with incredible proximity between the crowd and the track. If you could only pick one round all season, this is the one.

A spectacle, yes, but also a real-world masterclass

As a drift school, we know it better than anyone: watching the best drivers in action is an extraordinarily effective way to learn. Racing lines, angle management, transition timing, slide recovery… everything our instructors teach you on our track, you can see applied at the highest level at the CFD rounds. Come with a technical eye and you'll leave with new ways to understand the sport.
