Drift Team Building: The Corporate Event That Leaves a Mark on Your Teams

In short, drift team building:

  • Drift team building puts your teams behind the wheel of prepared Nissan 370Zs, on a track, supervised by professional instructors.

  • Three formats: leadership seminar, team building day, product launch or media placement.

  • From 3 to more than 60 participants: the programme adapts to every request, all year round.

  • A turnkey day, from welcome to closing cocktail, across six circuits spread throughout France.

A successful corporate seminar or team building event leaves a mark. Drift team building relies on an experience your teams have never had anywhere else, to create a shared memory people still talk about months later. Here is how it works, who it is for, and how to organise it.

What is drift team building?

Drift team building is a corporate event where your employees learn to drive a car in a controlled slide, on a closed track, supervised by instructors. It is neither karting nor classic track driving: drifting means mastering a car that deliberately slides, a sensation no one experiences in daily life.

At Torque Drift School, the experience takes place behind the wheel of Nissan 370Zs prepared specifically for drifting and maintained by our teams. The rarity of the activity is itself a message to your employees: you have chosen something out of the ordinary for them.

Why does drifting build team cohesion?

Drifting builds cohesion because it gives everyone a shared achievement: succeeding at something they thought was out of reach. No prior experience is required, and our instructors adapt the difficulty to each profile, from the most cautious to the most confident. Everyone gets behind the wheel, and everyone comes away feeling they have crossed a threshold.

This is what bonds a team, far more than a meal or a standard group activity. Controlled risk-taking and individual performance speak especially to sales, technical and creative teams. It is also the event people still talk about six months later, and one that tells a different story from a company dinner: the shared memory keeps working long after the day itself.

A concrete example shows it. During the day organised for Milwaukee, our partner, 60 participants drove over the course of the day, alongside a dedicated workshop area presenting Milwaukee products to their own clients. The event combined internal cohesion and client relations in a single day, something a classic format rarely allows.

Which formats for your corporate event?

The right format depends on your goal. Torque Drift School organises three types of events, all customisable.

Corporate seminar

For leadership teams who want a high-impact format. The programme includes a slot dedicated to your internal work (reviews, strategic seminars, governance), alternating with track sessions. Full day, privately booked circuit on request.

Team building

For operational teams who want to bond around a shared moment. Half-day or full day, with the option of challenges and timed events to reinforce the team dimension.

Product launch and media placement

For brands who want to stage a product in a premium automotive setting, with optional branding on the cars and circuit, and video content production.

All three formats can also serve as a sales incentive, to reward a team that has hit its targets or to make an impression on a partner network. You can extend the internal experience with an individual drift experience offered to your top performers.

A typical day, from welcome to cocktail

A drift team building day is fully turnkey, with no logistics to manage on your side. Here is a typical full-day schedule, entirely flexible.

  • 8:00 to 8:30 am, welcome.

    • Coffee and pastries in the drivers' area, a tour of the circuit, an introduction to the Nissan 370Zs.

  • 8:30 to 9:00 am, briefing.

    • Safety rules and the fundamental techniques of drifting: braking, weight transfer, slide control.

  • 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, drift sessions.

    • Progressive familiarisation with the 370Zs, driving runs and observation phases, constant supervision. Team challenges possible.

  • 12:00 to 1:30 pm, lunch.

    • A break run by our partner caterer, on site, fully flexible.

  • 1:30 to 2:30 pm, company time.

    • A tailored slot with a dedicated space, screen and connection, or an additional drift session for pure team building formats.

  • 2:30 to 5:00 pm, thrills and closing.

    • A passenger drift ride, then a thank-you cocktail with sharing of the in-car videos.

The meeting slot can be replaced by a driving session, lunch extended, a dinner cocktail added. The pace is set around your goals.

How many participants can you host?

There is no upper limit: drift team building can be designed for 3 people as easily as for more than 60, and the programme adapts to every request. Small leadership group or large sales operation, the format scales to your headcount, your budget and your duration.

Beyond about fifteen participants, we organise group rotations, often by level, so each person maximises their time behind the wheel while the others observe or take part in the activities. The Milwaukee day, with 60 participants and a parallel product workshop, shows that high-stakes operations run smoothly. Every session remains supervised by BPJEPS-qualified instructors, with a systematic safety briefing, equipment provided, prepared cars and insurance covering the activity. You give the thrills to your teams without taking on the risk.

A responsible activity that speaks to decision-makers

The drifting we offer is designed to limit its impact. The track is always watered, which reduces noise, smoke and tyre wear. Our Nissan 370Zs run on ethanol rather than conventional petrol. For companies attentive to their CSR criteria, it is a memorable event that stays consistent with their commitments.

Where to organise your drift team building in France?

You can organise drift team building on six circuits spread across France, which lets you choose the site closest to your teams or best suited to your operation. Torque Drift School operates notably at La Ferté-Gaucher (an hour from Paris), at Transpolis near Lyon, at the Driving Center du Castellet in the Var, as well as in Auvergne and Saône-et-Loire.

Each site has its own logistical and environmental qualities. You can compare the six circuits to identify the one that fits your project.

How to organise your corporate event?

To organise your drift team building, the first step is a quote request, where we map out your format, your budget and the number of participants together. Our corporate events run all year round, including in summer. The more details you give us upfront (the goal of the day, preferred date, region, approximate headcount, catering or branding requirements), the more precise our proposal will be from the very first exchange. We then design a bespoke programme, from welcome to closing cocktail, and remain your single point of contact right up to the day itself.

Describe your project on the corporate event page and our team will get back to you. You can also meet our team of instructors before you take the plunge.
